CONSROE — Susan V. Consroe, 89, of 85 Port Watson St., Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 21, 2010, at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. SANDS — Jeremy Michael Sands, 26, of Cortland, N.Y., died Jan. 21, 2010. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, and the funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery in Homer. Friends and family are invited to the Christian Assembly of God Church, 175 Port Watson St., Cortland, immediately following the service for a gathering.

MERCHANT — Hubert C. Merchant Sr., 81, of McGraw, N.Y., died Jan. 21, 2010, in Cortland Regional Medical Center. Spring burial will be held at the Sand Hill Cemetery, Dresserville.
LUBA — Elizabeth C. “Betty” Luba, 81, of Marathon, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton. At her request, there will be no service or calling hours.

ROGERS — Bud Rogers, 64, of Troutman, N.C., died Jan. 17, 2010. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home at 69 N. Main St., Cortland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Cortland Rural Cemetery will be delayed until spring.

COSTA — William Anthony Costa, 75, of Route 281, Preble, N.Y., died Jan. 17, 2010, after a one-year battle with lung cancer. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Private burial will be in McGraw Rural Cemetery.
HODGSON — Ellen Winfred Isaacs Hodgson, formerly of McLean N.Y., died Jan. 18, 2010, after an extended stay at Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal. Friends may call at McLean Community Church 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday with the funeral service to follow immediately at the church.. Burial will be in the spring at the McLean Rural Cemetery.

OROS — Evelyn (French) Oros, 85, of Cortland, N.Y., and formerly of Cincinnatus, died Jan. 15, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus. Burial will be in Pitcher Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the start of the service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
