‘I Love Cortland County’ photography winners named

14-year-old Katelyn Vogel of Homer captured this image of Lime Hollow Nature Center in Cortlandville to win the youth division of the Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau “I Love Cortland County” photography contest.

Sixty photos. Nine winners. All illustrating Cortland County through the eyes and lenses of Cortland County photographers.

The Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau awarded prizes in the “I Love Cortland County” photography contest last week at a reception at the Center for the Arts of Homer.

“Cortland County is full of beautiful locations and exciting events, and we wanted to recognize these great assets as seen through the eyes of the people who live in and visit our county,” said bureau Executive Director Meghan Lawton. The bureau will use the photos in marketing efforts.

The winners, selected by an independent committee:

Youth Division

First: Katelyn Vogel, 14, Homer: Lime Hollow Nature Center
Second: Ashlynn Holcomb, 15, Homer: Anchor at Dwyer Park
Third: Katelyn Vogel: Dandelions at Byrne Dairy
