Fire crews work Monday evening work to ventilate a house located at 738 Hatch Road in the town of Willet after battling a fire. The resident received minor burns, authorities said.

One person suffered minor burns in a mobile home fire Monday afternoon in Willet, Willet Fire Chief Greg McGowan said.

Firefighters were called about 3:40 p.m. to the mobile home at 738 Hatch Road.

When they arrived, the structure, which includes a mobile home and an addition, was fully involved in flames, McGowen said. The fire was contained by 4:30 p.m.

McGowen said he believed one person was inside the house at the time of the fire, and was later treated for minor burns.

McGowan, Cortland County Emergency Response and Communications Director Scott Roman and Assistant Director Courtney Metcalf could not be reached this morning for updates.

Cincinnatus, Cortlandville, Killawog and Marathon firefighters also responded to the fire scene, as did state fire investigators. McDonough, Smithville and Whitney Point firefighters were on standby.
