The Cortland High girls’ varsity volleyball team remains perfect.

The Purple Tigers bumped their record to 7-0 Tuesday after disposing of Fabius-Pompey inside Shafer Gymnasium. Cortland won scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-19 over the Falcons (3-3).

“This the best start to a season we have had in quite some time,” Cortland coach Cheri Olson said. “The girls have been working well together so far. We will continue to work on cleaning up unforced errors and staying calm on the court. That helped us come from behind in the third set. The team stayed calm and, with the help of Tori’s serving, we finished strong.”
