MATTYDALE — The Homer boys’ bowling team got a big spark to open Thursday’s OHSL match against Weedsport at Strike ‘N Spare Lanes in Mattydale.
Nick Hinshaw tossed a 300 game in the first game which helped propel the Trojans to a 7-0 victory over the Warriors. Homer is 6-1 overall and 5-0 in league matches.
The Homer girls were 7-0 winners over Weedsport to improve to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in league matches.
Homer boys 7, Weedsport 0: Homer had a good overall match as a team as the Trojans posted scores of 1,104-528, 904-574 and 1,067-675 while having an overall total pinfall of 3,075.
Hinshaw followed up his perfect game with a 204 effort before being replaced in the third game by Kyrius Townsend who shot a 174. Richard Lambrecht tossed a 662 series after games of 197-201-264 while Michael Grant totaled 645 on scores of 196-191-258. Jeremie Hale delivered his 556 series on scores of 202-171-183 and Brenton
Hapgood rounded out the Trojans with his 534 series after games of 209-137-188.
Weedsport had three guys with complete series. Kyle Rathbun rolled his 403 on scores of 97-137-169. Jacob Blaylock had a 372 series after games of 133-108-131. Zach Nemec posted his 339 series on scores of 113-115-111.
Homer girls 7, Weedsport 0: Homer swept all three games 635-552, 681-425, 613-436 and claimed team total 1,929- 1,413.
Makayla Miller led Homer with her 487 series after games of 145-168-174. Allyson Natale followed with her 463 series after games of 164-190- 109. Ashlynn Holcomb had a 329 series and high game of 114, Morgan Brown shot 327 with a 114 high game and Stella Stockwin had a 323 with a 116 high game to complete the Trojan scorers.
Gracie Stevens would lead Weedsport with her 348 series and high game of 151.
Homer will return to Mattydale this afternoon to face Bishop Grimes at 3:30 p.m.
