More than 20 cars took part in a caravan parade Thursday morning in McGraw to celebrate graduating seniors at McGraw High School.
The cars, driven by school teachers and staff, followed a school bus where Mark Dimorier, the high school’s principal, and other administrative staff presented gifts to the 34 graduating seniors throughout the village. The gifts included:
- A yard sign with the senior’s portrait.
- Goodie bags.
- Special mementos from teachers.
Dimorier said that this was a good way to celebrate and bring a little joy to the seniors whom he has not seen in nearly two months.
“A school is not a school without children,” he said before the caravan began. “I hope they get something out of it and enjoy it because since March 18, they have really missed out.”
