Cortland County number of virus cases remains at 49

Cortland County reported no new COVID-19 cases Friday, the number of confirmed cases remaining at 49.

In all, 333 cases have been confirmed and four people have died in Cayuga, Tompkins and Cortland counties.

The Cortland County Health Department was monitoring 18 patients; none is hospitalized, although six have been. The Cortland County Health Department has received 6,867 negative test results. Forty-seven people have recovered. The county has reported no deaths.

Tompkins County reported no new cases Thursday, the number remaining at 173 cases among 16,361 tested people, the state Department of Health reported. The Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center reported 173 cases. Two people have died.

The Cayuga County Health Department reported one new case Friday, raising the number of confirmed cases to 111. Two people have died; one is hospitalized. Another 44 are quarantined and five are in isolation.
