Number of coronavirus cases in Cortland County stays at 50

Cortland County reported no new COVID-19 cases Monday, the number of confirmed cases remaining at 50.

In all, 345 cases have been confirmed and four people have died in Cayuga, Tompkins and Cortland counties.

The Cortland County Health Department was monitoring 12 patients; none is hospitalized, although six have been. The Cortland County Health Department has received 8,201 negative test results.

Forty-eight people have recovered. The county has reported no deaths.

Tompkins County reported one new case Sunday, increasing the number to 177 among 18,745 tested people, the state Department of Health reported. The Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center reported 176 cases. Two people have died.

The Cayuga County Health Department reported one new cases Monday, the number of confirmed cases rising to 118. Two people have died; one is hospitalized. Another 29 are quarantined and eight are in isolation.
