Cortland County virus cases still 50
Cortland County reported no new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases remaining at 50.
In all, 346 cases have been confirmed and four people have died in Cayuga, Tompkins and Cortland counties.
The Cortland County Health Department was monitoring 21 patients; none is hospitalized, although six have been. The Cortland County Health Department has received 8,474 negative test results. Forty-nine people have recovered. The county has reported no deaths.
Tompkins County reported no new cases Tuesday, the number remaining at 177 among 19,183 tested people, the state Department of Health reported. The Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center also reported 177 cases. Two people have died.
The Cayuga County Health Department has not issued a report since Monday, but the state Health Department recorded four new cases Tuesday, bringing the number of confirmed cases to at least 119. Two people have died and 12,277 people have been tested.
