The Little League team from River Ridge, Louisiana, lines the third baseline and the Curacao team lines the first baseline during team introductions before the Little League World Series Championship game Aug. 25, 2019, at Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The 2020 Little League World Series and the championship tournaments in six other Little League divisions were canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has been an issue, Crown City Little League will begin play with just the Major Division Saturday at Testa Park’s Key Bank Field on Starr Road.

There will be three games for opening day, with the Orioles vs.the Pirates starting Saturday at 10 a.m. The Angels and Mariners square off at 2 p.m. with the Rays and Angels capping the triple-header at 6 p.m. Players and spectators will need to adhere to the safety protocols in place, but it is still a big day for youth baseball.
