Cortland: 70 Tompkins: 208 Cayuga: 131
Cortland County reported two new confirmed COVID-19 cases Friday over the weekend, increasing the number of confirmed cases to 70 — 20 new cases since July 3.
In all, 409 cases have been confirmed and five people have died in Cayuga, Tompkins and Cortland counties.
The Cortland County Health Department was monitoring 84 patients, eight of them confirmed positive. None is hospitalized, although six have been. The Cortland County Health Department has received 10,683 negative test results. Sixty-two people have recovered. The county has reported no deaths.
Tompkins County reported 10 new cases Friday and Saturday, bringing the number to 208, according to the state Health Department. A total of 25,157 people were tested as of Saturday. Two people have died.
The Cayuga County Health Department reported one new case last week. As of Friday, the last day it gave a report, the county had 131 confirmed cases. Three people have died. Thirty people have been quarantined; two are in isolation and 16,448 people have been tested.
