Cortland County goes six days without case
Cortland County reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Monday — the sixth consecutive day without a new case in the county — leaving the number of confirmed cases at 4,592.
The number of people who have contracted the virus increased to 15,323 across Cortland, Tompkins and Cayuga counties since the pandemic began in March 2020. No new deaths were reported, the number of people who have died from the virus remained 209.
- The Cortland County Health Department was monitoring two patients, one of them confirmed positive. No one was hospitalized. Since the pandemic began, 221 people have been hospitalized. The Cortland County Health Department has received 128,793 negative test results. The county has reported 65 deaths.
- Tompkins County reported one new case Monday. The number of confirmed cases increased to 4,369, reports the state Health Department. A total of 2,399,469 people have been tested. Fifty-two Tompkins
residents have died.
- In Cayuga County, the state Health Department reported no new cases Monday. Confirmed cases remained 6,362. The state reports 206,005 people have been tested. Ninety-two people have died, the state reports.
