ELLIOTT — Julian F. Elliott, 86, of North Carolina, died Oct. 4, 2021. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden. A service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Virgil Cemetery.

FERGUSON — Dennis Clair Ferguson, 77, of Dryden, died Oct. 5, 2021. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 16 at Cortland County Fairgrounds.

HNATKO — A tribute to Eugene Hnatko will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at Ithaca Farmers Market.

SHEELEY — Olive Mae Sheeley, 97, of Hague and Saratoga Springs, died Sept. 25, 2021.

MUMBULO — Lola R. Mumbulo, 86, formerly of Cortland, died Oct. 5, 2021. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, Homer.

PIXLEY — Lewis J. Pixley, 84, of Marathon, died Oct. 5, 2021. Friends of the family can call between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at Nichols Funeral Home, Whitney Point. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

PARRINO — Salvatore John Parrino, 91, of Marathon, died Oct. 5, 2021. The family will be present to receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Marathon Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will follow at noon at the chapel. Burial with military honors will be at Marathon Cemetery.

PENROSE — Irene Penrose, 88, of Homer, died Oct. 5, 2021. Calling hours will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. Friday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Cortland. A service will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.

PIXLEY — Lewis J. Pixley, 84, of Marathon, died Oct. 5, 2021. Friends of the family can call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Nichols Funeral Home, Whitney Point. A funeral service will be held right after the calling hours at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

HARRIS — Carole G. Harris, 78, of Preble, died Sept. 30, 2021. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Cortland. Services will be at noon Tuesday at St. Margaret’s Church, Homer.

NIELSEN — Karen O’Rourke Nielsen, 56, of Cortland, died Sept 29, 2021. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland.

PARKER — John Russell Parker, 72, formerly of Geneva, died Oct. 4, 2021.

THORNGREN — Brett “Cosmo” Thorngren, 46, formerly of Cortland, died Sept. 25, 2021. A gathering of friends and family was held Sept. 30 in Griffin, Ga.

GRANT — Normal L. Grant, 83, of Cortland, died Oct. 2, 2021. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Cortland. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cortland. Burial will follow at McGraw Cemetery.
