Voters decide referendums, other races in Cortland, Tompkins, Cayuga

Cortland election results 2021

Voters in Homer voted Tuesday to allow recreational marijuana dispensaries and on-site consumption businesses, while Cortlandville voters decided the terms of service of three town offices.

HOMER
Proposal 1 — To adopt a local law prohibiting marijuana dispensaries and consumption sites anywhere in the town outside of the village. Failed, 563-673.

HARFORD
Proposal 1 — To increase the terms of supervisor and town clerk/collector to four years from two. Passed, 91-67.

McGRAW
Proposal 1 — To allow the village to opt out of allowing the licensing and establishing cannabis dispensaries and on-site cannabis consumption locations. Tallies were not available Tuesday night.

CORTLANDVILLE
Proposal 1 — To increase the term for town supervisor to four years from two, effective Jan. 1. Passed, 787-780.
Proposal 2 — To increase the term for town clerk/tax collector to four years from two, effective Jan. 1. Passed, 905-663.
Proposal 3 — To increase the term for highway superintendent to four years from two, effective Jan. 1. Passed, 903-665.
