The Trojan boys beat the Purple Tigers 112-29 and Mexico 103-38 and are now 3-0 while the girls downed Cortland 90-51 and Mexico 90-49 and are now 2-1.
Both Cortland teams beat Mexico, the boys by 72-61 and the girls by 64-59.
Grant Stokoe was the pacesetter for the Trojans, winning the 800 meters in 1:59.7, the 1.600 in 4:47.0, the 3,200 in 10:46.1 and teaming with Teddy Mercer, Sam Pullman and Andrew Swenson to win the 3,200 relay in 8:54.8.
Brent McNeil won the triple jump (38-11.5), high jump (6-0) and pole vault (9-6). Paddy Fox won the 400 intermediate hurdles in 1:05.0 and Paul Morse the 100 high hurdles in 16.6 both also joining Scott Maus and Sebastian Justiniano to win the 400 relay in 46.6. Pullman was also part of the 1,600 relay squad that won in 3:43.4, along with Derrick Fouts, Lucas Payne and Marcus Karam.
Cortland’s Ray Rogers won the shot put (28-11) and discus (104.8).
Homer’s boys will next see action in the Square Deal Invitational in Johnson City Saturday at 10 a.m. while the Cortland boys are competing in the Chittenango Invitational Friday at 4 p.m.
Arielle Moheimani and Alsasce Lorraine Sanders were triple winners for the Trojan girls. Moheimani won the 100 hurdles in 18.6, the long jump at 15-10 and the discus at 80-6. Sanders won the 100 (13.1), 200 (27.7) and triple jump (31-10.75).
Arielle Bastian won the 3,000 in 12:31.1 and Zoe Fish the pole vault at 7-6, both also part of the winning 3,200 relay squad along with Ashley Tollner and Amelia Ponirakis. Kristen Rahner won the shot put at 29-6 and Maddy Cole the 400 hurdles in 1:17.4.
Lauren Phetteplace was a triple winner for the Purple Tigers, taking the 800 in 2:30.9 and 1.600 in 5:21.3 and joining Kaitlyn Pratt, Ana Chavez and Neve O’Connell to win the 1,600 relay in 4:37.0. Pratt also won the 400 in 1:04.1 and O’Connell won the high jump at 4-4.
The Homer girls will also compete in Saturday’s Square Deal Invitational. Cortland’s girls will take part in the Skaneateles-Marcellus Invitational Saturday starting at 1:15 p.m.
